St Albans Ladies Circle at Jo Banks Salon and Spa Birthday Party
What did you do last night?…..One of the many benefits to being part of St Albans Circle it would seem is that, in answer to my question, What did I do last night? I was invited to attend the 1st Birthday party of the Jo Banks Salon & Spa in St Albans. Oh how life is hard when you’re a member of Circle I thought to myself!
The thing that sets this salon & spa aside from other places I have had the pleasure of frequenting is that it uses Aveda products which in simplistic terms means that not only is Aveda a purchaser of organic ingredients but it is also a company that take their environmental responsibilities very seriously. So in effect this means that I can self-indulge in beauty treatments knowing that I am being environmentally friendly in the process, this excuse works extremely well for me!
Anyway back to the “What did I do last night” question. Claire and I were treated like VIPs for the night and were indulged in a head and neck massage followed by a hand massage. Of course we had the obligatory continuously filled glass of wine in our right hand and chocolate in the left. The only downside was that I had to share all of this with the 50 or so other women that attended the party.
My ten minute head massage lasted about twenty minutes which was such an unexpected treat. This head massage comes as standard with every haircut so I am now wondering if I could sneak a monthly haircut into my personal grooming budget without my husband noticing!
I did have to pinch myself whilst I was drinking my second glass of wine and nibbling on a piece of Hotel Chocolat, that I was in fact on a very important job in sampling the delights of the Jo Banks Salon & Spa as a future venue for a ladies pamper evening for one of our upcoming social events. It was a hard job but someone had to do it, and after speaking to Jo Banks it now appears that I will have to pay the Spa a second visit as she has kindly donated a raffle prize to our upcoming quiz night.
Isn’t life hard! So what am I doing tonight?
Washing my hair of course, using the products that I was given by Jo Banks to try!
